Mission:

The mission of the Polk County Cultural Coalition (PCCC) is to encourage projects and activities in the arts, heritage, and humanities that relate to the priorities of  the PCCC.

  • Protect existing cultural assets
  • Focus on young people
  • Help overcome barriers to participation in cultural events and activities 

Funding of projects:

PCCC provides funding for projects submitted by non-profit organizations which meet the mission statement. Funds for grants come to PCCC from the Oregon Cultural Trust

PCCC grants range from $200 to $2500. Materials, guidelines and application forms for the Primary Grant Cycle for PCCC funds for 2010 are available by viewing and printing the 2010 PCCC Grant Application.

Grant Calendar for 2010

  • June 15, 2009 - Grant guidelines and application forms available
  • July  15, 2009 - Deadline for grant submission
  • October 1, 2009 - Decisions on awards published
  • October 31, 2009 - Disbursement of grant funds

The intention of PCCC is to allocate most funds during the Primary Grant Cycle.  A Secondary Grant Cycle may be used to disburse funds unallocated in the primary cycle.   The secondary cycle will consider proposals not received in the Primary Grant Cycle and proposals solicited by PCCC. 

Funding of internet services (web pages, email) for cultural organizations:

PCCC is sponsoring a program to offer no-cost internet services (Web Pages, email) to non-profit cultural organizations located in Polk County, Oregon.  PCCC will assume the charges for web hosting, registration of domain names (i.e. PolkMuseum.com), and email services i.e. (Info@PolkMuseum.com).   PCCC contracts with an internet web hosting company to provide these services. 

Any organization wishing to participate in the program should obtain and submit an application.

The PCCC webmaster will assist organizations in acquiring a domain name and setting up an informational web page. Passwords will be provided to allow organizations to modify pages and create web sites of up to 15 pages.  Each organizations must designate one or more persons to function as a webmaster for the organization and be responsible for maintaining the pages.
